July -The gardens (in spite of low rainfall) are looking very good with lots and lots of flowers.
July -Vegetable garden and greenhouse plants are doing well.
27/7/11 must be the best year we have ever had for young swallows, we estimate about 40 or 50 are flying around Rogeston .
August 19th we are picking the first of a very heavy crop of apples.
10th September several Ravens seen flying over Rogeston over the last few days.
14th October the early daffodils are through the ground.
30th October seen over the last week- Barn Owl, Peregrine Falcon, Ravens and a Weasel.
6/10/11. Most days, 50 plus Fieldfare are visiting Rogeston.
7/10/11. Paula watched a Greater Spotted Wood pecker walking up the outside wall of the Granary.
14/11/11 First of our winter Snipe have arrived.
18/11/11 Early daffodil in flower!
14/12/11 Very windy this morning saw three snipe on our walk round the fields with the dogs. The winter flowering cherry is a mass of flower and the spring flowering tree heath is covered with white flower - normal flowering time March!
22/12/11 Some of the small white flowered daffodils in flower.
10/1/12 Lots & lots of Rabbits this year - all digging holes!
13/1/12 One of the local Tawny Owls was sitting in the tree next to the farm house, last night and singing for his supper!
12/2/12 Lambing has started at the farm next door.
